Katherine McNamara

Born on November 22, 1995, in Kansas City, Missouri, Katherine MacNamara received her high school diploma at age 14 and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drexel University at the age of 17. As of November 2015, Kat is studying for a Master of Science degree in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University.

Kat started her acting career at Broadway, appearing in A Little Night Music (2009). She performed for a series of television shows, such as Drop Dead Diva (2011), 30 Rock (2011), Jessie (2013), and The Thundermans (2013). Kat also landed the recurring role of “Kat” in The Fosters (2015). She was announced to play as “Clary Fray” in Freeform’s Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments in 2015. Kat also appeared in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2016), as “Sonya.”

Currently, Kat is still playing “Clary Fray” in Shadowhunters. She has since written and released an original single titled “Ember.” Kat will be reprising her role as “Sonya” in que up-coming Maze Runner: The Death Cure set for 2018.
